The 2nd national conference on laser application held on 9-10th Feb. 2008 at Bangalore. Those responses suggested the attitude and enthusiasm for lasers throughout the country. This new advanced field in dentistry speaks for itself its popularity amongst our breathen. First of all let me appreciate the work put in by the organizing committee especially Dr. Vivek Hegde, Dr. Sanjay Jain, Dr. Usha Mohan Das, Dr. Kripa Johar Dr. Nilesh Patel, And many more others who supported their efforts. It was not easy for us to plan and organize an event 1000 km away but the enthusiasm and the 300 old delegated vindicated our stand that Lasers are going to be everybody’s in near future.  

Dr. Anil Shah in this Presidential address urged the principals of various colleges to implement laser related studies and impart laser education at understanding level. Dr. Naresh Thukal emphasized on need for proper laser training and the basic understand to use lasers of various wavelength and their specific applications. The scientific sessions were laced with experienced national and international speakers and blended with more 15 free papers from colleagues all over the country we were pleased to know the amount of laser treatment being conducted clinically and scope it in future
